Catching the real history
« on: September 30, 2007, 11:39:54 am »

Start of new project. Planning 2007.

High quality plan marked with Extent of Whitchurch.
Simon Found of Hampshire County Council has sourced an initial plan for us to plan with.

High quality aerial picture/s to be taken.

Positions for long shots fixed.
Every dwelling in every street will appear in the long shots.

Positions for medium shots fixed.
Medium shots will focus on key buildings and other features. More detail will be obvious and associated written records will be attached.

(all the above taken by appointed photographers) on chosen date/s every five years.

Close ups by anyone.
This is a new approach. You and your family, your cars etc pictures taken by you or friends. In addition to the picture/s detailed notes.
census plus we call this .names of all in pictures; ages; type of car; cost of car; value of house.

The result of the community input will be shown at public display and a selection will be made for posterity archiving. You will be able to vote whats worth keeping .

All then archived properly and conserved in two locations.

I thought so too. Much that Freefolk is a beautiful place, Whitchurch is much nicer. Perhaps some local pictures are needed before the gloom of the winter sets in?
