Business Associations

There are currently two associations in Whitchurch which aim to support businesses.

Ardglen Business Association is for those businesses based on the Ardglen Industrial estate.

Working 4 Whitchurch was formed as a result of the Health Check carried out in 2002 and aims to address the issues around the town centre's businesses and tourism. It organises Christmas in Whitchurch, runs the website and produces the community newsletter, Update.

Nationally there is the Federation of Small Businesses, which is the UK's largest campaigning pressure group promoting and protecting the interests of the self-employed and owners of small firms.

Business Support Organisations

The main support organisation is the government sponsored Business Link which provides information for small to medium sized businesses. Full details of the support it can give are on its website with lots of useful downloads and access to free seminars and workshops. Free confidential advice sessions are held fortnightly in Whitchurch but need to be booked on 0845 600 9 006.
